Say hello to Irina & Isaac who were married in from of 600 guests and 25 bridesmaids and 25 groomsmen. But that’s just how they do things. Two days before was the Berberisca held at The Bath Club in Miami Beach. It is a Jewish Moroccan pre-wedding ceremony that honors the bride to be, who wears an intricately designed gown passed down through generations, as the couple is surrounded by family members who sing and offer blessings in celebration of the marriage. Beautifully designed by Alibaba Events, the guests enjoyed traditional Moroccan dishes by Natalie’s Catering, along with dancers and live music. The wedding day started off at Turnberry Isle Miami for the getting ready then proceeded to Aventura Turnberry Temple where the rustic tropical atmosphere designed and executed by planner Melissa Soued of Eventorist Floral and Event Design, who was at the helm of this 3 day celebration, greeted each guest. The centerpiece of the reception was a stunning floor to ceiling tropical projection running the length of the room gave guests the feeling they were on the edge of the world. The beautifully designed and bountiful dessert table was elevated and up against a wall of green. The party went on till late (or early the next morning!) As always, it was amazing to work with the abundantly creative team of Al Agua Cinema! Enjoy!
Say hello to Randi & Jeremy who chose trendy The Edition Hotel for their ceremony and reception. A beautiful and charming couple, they met close to 10 years ago and never looked back. Shooting the rehearsal dinner at The Palms in South Beach, gave me a terrific look in to the inner workings of the rich family and friend tree that weaves its way through their lives. The purity of emotion and the genuine heartfelt support and pride was collectively unshielded. Everyone was beaming with pride when these two were walked down the aisle. None more, however, than Jeremy himself. The definition of a man in love with a woman, which is evidenced by how Randi acts when she is around him. Amy Palma’s makeup perfectly accented the beauty of Randi in her Zuhair Murad dress when she and Jeremy had their first look. The ceremony was beautifully designed by Guerdy Abraira, (who was also the event planner) to accommodate the large number of guests on the upper deck of The Edition, having the guests form a cocoon around the isle as Randi was delivered to her betrothed. The reception continued that theme by have a dance floor size garden suspended from the ceiling to give the feel of the mythical hanging gardens of Babylon. The contributions of Over The Top Linens, Hitched chairs and chargers, Mias Garden planted trees, and Evoga Events confetti, and Powerhouse Band, rounded out the charming and vibrant wedding day. Of course thanks to Ruben Senderey for your energy and ease in creative collaboration. But the biggest thanks goes to Randi & Jeremy for allowing the privilege of documenting this monumental day for you. I wish all the happiness life can offer! Enjoy!
Say Hello to Liza & Adi from NYC. The wedding weekend started off with the rehearsal dinner on Friday night at The Raleigh Hotel in South Beach, where the guest got their chance to eloquently roast the couple. I always enjoy shooting this part of the wedding since it give me a real feel for their friends and family and allow me to become part of the wedding day dynamic. They decided to have their wedding at the picturesque Fisher Island Resort in Miami. Things started off with a 50/50 chance of rain but luck was with us and the day held out to give us the most perfect lighting any photographer could ask for. Getting ready shots were are the W South Beach with first look and family portraits at Fisher Island. Liza looked Vogue worthy in her Alon Livne designed wedding dress. Planner Guerdy Abraira created a beautiful ceremony enclave underneath the great banyan tree in the center courtyard, along with an all white theme for the reception. The evening ended with an after party where the guests enjoyed Momofuko Milk Bar treats! Enjoy.
