Michelle & Stephen’s Engagement Session in Philadelphia
Michelle & Stephen live in Philadelphia and wanted to tour the old city beauty that adorns its historic streets. This was my first time in Philadelphia and I was taken with how its trendy urban scene blends so effortlessly into the city’s authentic architecture. All those suprise side streets with perfect layers of tree branches softening the light just so to allow its vistiors perfect shade and lighiting. It almost felt created just for us. Michelle & Steven graciously showed me their favorite areas and we set off on our day. Enjoy!
Allison & David explore Soho for their Engagement Session!
Allison & David live right on the edges of Soho and the Lower East Side in Manhattan so it make perfect sense to explore those streets they know so well, and use to enjoy their lives, as the backdrop of their engagement session. Those areas are rich in history, culture, creativity and beauty so naturally I had a blast! Enjoy!
Sophia & Raphael at the Faena Hotel in Miami
At the request of Jennifer Pear of Karla Conceptual Events, I met Sophia at the St. Regis in NYC to discuss her upcoming wedding to Raphael, at the Faena Hotel in Miami. It was going to be the second wedding the new venue would be producing so I was excited to be a part of it. From the getting ready to the reception, the hotel and its properties, gave us some incredibly unique images. The theme of red runs throughout the property and you’ll see that in some of the images. Shooting in there 20’s style burlesque Faena Theatre was a real treat as it was adorned with red velvet walls and staging. The ceremony was held at St. Patricks Church on south beach. The Faena Forum served as the reception & cocktail area. A clean white palet with a cathedral ceiling allowed Karla and her team to create a modern elegant tropical feel. Enjoy!
Katie & Ben’s Wedding at The Gramercy Park Hotel in Manhattan
The day started off cloudy, then the rain came. But I guess it was in the cards for these two as the rain let up just as we were heading to do the first look, giving us just the most fabulous kind of light every photographer desires! There were so many nice touches to this event, from the elegant floral arrangement of the ceremony to the candle lit reception. Katie looked perfect in her Divine Altier dress. The unique design of the bridesmaids dresses were a collaboration of Ralph Lauren and Katie’s mom! The Gramercy Park Hotel offered its guest just wonderful night time views of the city. During the reception the roof on the terrace was opened to expose the fantastic Manhattan skyline and really gave us that iconic NYC wedding. Enjoy!
Deanna & Jeremy’s Wedding at The Miami Beach Edition
Deanna & Jeremy said I do at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Miami Beach then headed back to The Edition to unwind. Jamie Lipman of The Absolute Event made sure of it! The day started with Deanna’s three nieces competing for the limelight and kind of stayed that way all day! Don’t get me wrong, no one was complaining! When you see them, you’ll understand. After the ceremony, Deanna had a little surprise for Jeremy that sealed the nuptials appropriately: a Lamborghini convertible was waiting out front. Once Jeremy regained his composure, the two set their site for the reception – hopefully with many detours! Thanks to Cleo Jorge for her always fantastic makeup and hair skills for our bride. Rock With U took over the dance floor like the always do and Travis Cossel of Black Label Films used his unique cinematography skills to document the drama of the day. The fab decor was constructed by Terra Flowers in Miami. All and all, a good day and a very fun event. Enjoy!
