I was thirlled to partner with Chernaya Bridal House, a Miami Bridal Salon located in the cutting-edge Miami Design District at the renowned Pérez Art Museum Miami to create an awe-inspiring shoot featuring designs by international designers.
The first featured dress is by Elie Youssef, an international designer from Lebanon who creates custom one-of-a-kind pieces and couture exclusively for our Miami Bridal Salon. The second dress is Rivini by Rita Vinieris. We love the high-low of this dress, it’s simply chic and perfectly juxtaposed with the stunning architecture of the PAMM. The third gown featured is by world renowned designer, Zuhair Murad, who has dressed countless celebrities from around the world in amazing pieces of art. The final gown featured amidst the beautiful setting created by Designs By Sean is by Rafael Cennamo. We adore the peplum and volume of this dress, the artistic direction is truly in line with a PAMM Bride.
I would like to extend a very special thanks to Chernaya Bridal House, PAMM, Designs By Sean and Couture Beauty Services for being such a pleasure to work alongside and for allowing us to showcase these Designers in such an amazing and beautiful shoot.
One of the great joys of my job is when I get to see how the families grow, and recognize that while some things change, other just will always be the same. On the left is the princess herself, (best known as Punchys) overseeing her brother David’s recent Bar Mitzvah. The one on the right is her two years earlier rooting for her other brother, Andres. Still is, and always will be, the center of attention!
My couples (fine, mostly my brides) are always asking me if they look “skinny” in their pictures. As a photographer, it’s my job to make sure they look their absolute best and I have my secrets! So how can you look thin in every picture? It’s so easy!
Unless you’re 100% perfectly symmetrical, you have a good side. And your good side, has a good angle. How do you find this perfect pose? Use these three steps:
1) Look in the mirror to the left, then to the right and determine your good side.
2) With your good side towards the mirror, elongate your neck by dropping your shoulders, and point your cheek slightly upwards.
3) Last, tilt your chin ever so slightly down (while still keeping your neck long).
If you’ve followed these directions, you should see highlighted cheekbones, a stronger (thinner) jaw line, and you’ve created shadows that work in your favor.
Here are some examples of my subjects who knew their perfect angle!
This past week I had the pleasure of photographing the delectable dishes prepared by Chef Danny Serfer for their PR and marketing use. This is his, and his partner, flood blogger Ryan Roman (http://miamirankings.com) first joint venture but Danny’s second restaurant. His first being the sensational Blue Collar (http://www.bluecollarmiami.com) in the MIMO district in Miami. As expected, the food was perfectly on point. The whole concept was to create a gourmet oyster bar with a dinner feel. Check out the menu at http://mignonettemiami.com. You haven’t lived till you try the Caviar Happy Hour from 5:30-6:30 M-F. Here’s some of what you can expect!
Here are some selects from a recent session for Cynthia Gonzalez, the 16 year old sister of a former bride Michelle Gonzalez-Rubio. As I don’t normally do the traditional version of these, I agreed as long as I could shoot it my way. Her mom said that’s why they wanted me to do it. I’m in!
Cartier watches, Cartier eyeglasses, and Cartier bags were the centerpieces of this Cartier Event put on by of Asylum Marketing at the renovated Rusty Pelican last week. They were throwing a little appreciation weekend for their top South American sales reps, which culminated in this dinner that featured $200,000 eyeglasses and their top of the line brand watches. The guests were also treated with a live portrait session done by portrait artist Ann Chaskalson (www.anniecfineart.com) and three Opera singers. The beautiful decor was designed by Jose Graterol of Jose Graterol Designs. Top all this off with the Rusty Pelican’s amazing view of downtown Miami and I’d say it was an evening to remember!
Planner Breck Bouchard of The Bond Group and I recently had the opportunity to shoot a wedding proposal in Paris for a private client. As this wrapped we sat in a Parisian bistro discussing the diversity and romance that Paris has to offer. So never being ones to let a creative opportunity pass by, we decided to orchestrate an engagement session that encompassed all of these wonderful qualities but through the eyes of Parisians. . With less than 48 hours left in our stay we came up with a concept, a plan and both went to work to bring it all together. I scoured the city for the perfect locations and concepts. Breck contacted colleges in Paris and back home and we began interviewing couples. Our goal was to show a Parisian couple…in love, in their city. We wanted to capture iconic scenes of Paris but at the same time showcase the love and playfulness of how a native Parisian couple live their lives. We found the perfect couple, Loic & Fredo. Here’s a few.
Samantha is pregnant!!! It only made sense to do the maternity photos with her white horse at the stables. Have a look at a few.
For all of you asking if I do maternity photos, this should answer your question! Lauren Coleman asked me to shoot hers and I was thrilled she did. What’s more fitting for a fashion model and makeup artist than to shoot fashion editorial inspired compositions. The weather was perfect, the location was perfect, the makeup and styling was perfect; and that maternal glow of Lauren’s was perfection. I hope I did it justice. Enjoy!
