Here’s Stacy & Ryan who were married on July 4th at the Trump National in Doral. You might remember Stacy from the “bride in a tree” pic. Yeah, she climbed a tree before her ceremony to get a cool shot. She challenged me you see. She said “think outside the box Jonathan” (crazy cause I always do). So I told her to climb a tree thinking no way she was going to do that. She did. And this is pretty much how the evening progressed; one surprise after the next with these two. What started out as a structured controlled and formal affair, unleashed into a free-for-all by nights end (check out the last image). Susan Jaffe was on hand as planner and designer, bring together Petal Productions, Unearthed Vintage, Hitched Rentals and Over The Top Linens to create the secret garden themed décor. Nancy Rand did a beautiful job on makeup. The highlight of the evening was the 10m minutes fireworks show after the ceremony on the north lawn. Enjoy!
Here’s the second installment of the Spack/Loebl Clan. This round its Daniela & Steven who were married at Beth Torah in Aventura. If the tone of a wedding is set by the passion of the bride and groom, then this wedding lived up to that notion. Let’s start with Steven. His demeanor throughout was that of a concurring hero returning from a glorious victory. His celebratory skills are unbridled! Moving on to the guests, well, their idea of impromptu group photos at the reception can be liked to a game of pile on. Two people become 5 people, who then become 10 people. By the sixth shot, I’ve got 15 people all smashed together in familial harmony. This happened evey time I raised my camera. So fun. My portrait sessions with these two is nothing short of exhilarating. Their chemistry is undiminished by any kind of reserve allowing me full access into their world. These pics definitely speak for themselves. Enjoy!
Arielle (aka Ari or Air) & Michael (aka Mickey, Michael, Don Miguel, Miguelito) were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at the W South Beach. Planner Kelly Gold reached out to me two weeks before their wedding telling me their engagement session didn’t go well, and asked if I could take on the wedding. After meeting Arielle & Michael, I was in! With most of my weddings, I’m fortunate to be able to attract groups of vibrant and eclectic personalities that make my job fun and interesting. First you have Michael’s motley crew of 13 rowdy groomsmen who pretty much defined the pace of the reception. Then there’s Benni, the couple’s Havanese dog (@southbeachbenni if you want to follow) who stole the show in the groom suite (yes, he hung out with the groomsmen) and then led the ring bearer down the isle to greet Michael. I think though he was escorted by security out of the reception for hanging around the bar to often and hitting on the bridesmaids. On the heartfelt end of the spectrum, you have the speeches by the best man, maid of honor and both sets of parents, which were a beautifully executed combination of praise, pride and pure roasting. The DJ did a fantastic job of introducing them into the reception by packing them on the dance floor in a tight group. All for one and one for all. Décor was crafted by Petal Productions. Many thanks Kelly for this one! Enjoy!
Here’s Eileen and Daniel who were married at Turnberry Isle Miami recently in an Jewish Orthodox celebration. Eileen looked fabulous along with her pampered and charming little flowers girls. Petal Productions created a fantastic Chuppah under which the ceremony was performed. So after the Rabbi’s did their thing, the reception was kicked off by probably the longest Hora I’ve ever witnessed! Enjoy!
Jesscia & Nate hail from Michigan and chose The Ocean Key Resort in Key West as their destination wedding location. They brought an intimate gathering of friends and family to enjoy the Duval Street and the stunning Key West sunsets. Alore Event Firm took the reins of planning and decor, giving them a weekend they’ll cherish forever. After their first look we were able to take in some of the local scenery as fabulous backdrops for the rest of the their portraits culminating in a great bridal party shot using the colorful lounge chairs at the Southernmost Hotel’s pool. Enjoy!
Because I adore these two so much (I didn’t shoot the wedding but was a guest) I took Sara & Eric on a post-wedding day shoot back at the Eden Roc where they were married. The Spa was kind enough to let us in for an hour, and then under blazing sun and wind, we hit the beach walkway for the closers. Enjoy!
Here are some selects from Jacqui & Drew’s wedding. Hailing from NYC, we did their engagement session in Battery Park in NYC (Jacqui & Drew’s Engagement Session) where we bonded over ice cream and the Hudson River. Stacey Feldman of Peacock Premier Events introduced me to them and took charge of planning their wedding journey. When the day came, they were ready, the stage was set, and they had beautiful weather and a charming and elegant wedding on the back courtyard. Marcia Mitchell and the Marcia Mitchell Band raised the energy level at the recpetion and kept it there the whole night giving Jacqui & Drew, their family and friends a night to remember! Enjoy!
Here is Caroline & Jeremy’s wedding at the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach Florida. Both currently live in Colorado, and brought their friends and family down for a good old fashioned high society Palm Beach wedding…..until the partying began…then it was good old fashioned no holds barred fun! You might remember these two from the Colorado engagement session we did last summer (Caroline & Jeremy’s Engagement Session). I got to spend a few days journeying through Denver and surrounding areas with them to create some really fantastic images. The chemistry between these two is charming and explosive. They just really are all about each others happiness. Its heart warming. For the wedding, they started out at the Brazilian Court for getting ready activities. We did the first look there, then headed over to Flagler Museum for the rest. Thanks to Jamie Lipman of Absolute Events for introducing me to these two and allowing me to share and document their experience. Many thanks to the contributions of Xquisite Events, Cabana Pictures on video, Michelle Doyle and VoxBlu, and Joy Wallace Catering. Enjoy!!
I was thirlled to partner with Chernaya Bridal House, a Miami Bridal Salon located in the cutting-edge Miami Design District at the renowned Pérez Art Museum Miami to create an awe-inspiring shoot featuring designs by international designers.
The first featured dress is by Elie Youssef, an international designer from Lebanon who creates custom one-of-a-kind pieces and couture exclusively for our Miami Bridal Salon. The second dress is Rivini by Rita Vinieris. We love the high-low of this dress, it’s simply chic and perfectly juxtaposed with the stunning architecture of the PAMM. The third gown featured is by world renowned designer, Zuhair Murad, who has dressed countless celebrities from around the world in amazing pieces of art. The final gown featured amidst the beautiful setting created by Designs By Sean is by Rafael Cennamo. We adore the peplum and volume of this dress, the artistic direction is truly in line with a PAMM Bride.
Andrea, being a former Miss Colombia was genuinely easy to shoot as you can see (even during the boudoir session!) We had those images presented in a beautiful custom-made lucite box to Elliot on the wedding day. He was happily surprised to say the least! The rest of the day went flawlessly. They, and their friends and family were such genuinely warm and inviting people is was hard not to get caught up in this perfect union. I say perfect because when you see these two together you sense an honest shared love of life and humor.
Elliot is completely unapologetic about how enamored he is with Andrea, which he unabashedly demonstrated by following her around with his iPhone for duo-selfies and straight captures. Andrea being a Colombian celebrity, had in attendance some of her closest friends who share the same limelight and cut loose to help her celebrate. I worked with Suzanne Delawar on video and had a great experience. Barak Mizrahi created Andrea’s hair and make-up look and as you can see, did another fantastic job. I was so happy to have this wedding published in Hola! Colombia as well. Thanks to Lisi and her team once again for allowing me to do what I do. Enjoy!
