Sara & Eric’s Engagement Session in Grand Central Station
This past weekend I was in NYC for a series of shoots, one of which is the following engagement session of Sara & Eric. Sara contacted me a couple of months ago, seeing my work from a series of mutual friends and on different websites. Although they were getting married in Florida in January, they wanted a uniquely different look to their engagement session in the form of an iconic NYC showing. We settled on Grand Central Station and the basin in Central Park. This was a first for me at both sites so I was thrilled to shoot it. I’m always excited when presented a new challenge that tests my instincts on the shooting day. If you’ve ever been to Grand Central Station, you’ll know what I mean! I’m particularly proud of the subway shots we were able to get within the 3 minutes waiting for the train to take us to Central Park. Eric wanted a subway shot, so I had to react instinctively to create a dramatic and real image that balanced the power of the platform setting with the passion of the couple. Enjoy!
